I'd recommend pulling up a YouTube tab of extended instrumental jazz and and keeping that low in the background. Plus a video from CafeMusicBGMChannel entitled "3HOURS Cafe Music!!Relax background Music!!Jazz Instrumental Music!!" is very non-intrusive as well as being natural and having variety.
"Also Sprach Brooks" from the Catherine soundtrack is low key and and enjoyably repetitive.
Play very quiet music in the background of this track and you've got perfect ambiance.
